Colorful Metaphors
While I try not to use what are usually referred to as "colorful metaphors" I was thinking tonight about metaphors and some of the more interesting and "colorful" ones that have been used to describe those who are not......lets just say they might not display the same level of common sense as those around them. Here are some of them...
"A few fries short of a happy meal."
"Not the sharpest knife in the drawer."
"A taco short of a combo plate."
"He would be out of his depth in a parking lot puddle."
"He's not playing with a full deck."
"If its true, "What you don't know won't hurt you," then he is totally invulnerable."
"He's not firing on all cylinders."
Having driven a car for a day that was not firing on all cylinders, I have come to realize how harsh that last one is.
